Signing in & your account
Signing in is optional today. Here is what the account button does.
The account button in the title bar lets you sign in to your JAW AI account. Signing in uses your web browser: it opens the JAW AI sign-in page, and once you've authenticated the browser hands the session back to the app automatically.
Signing in
Click the account button in the title bar and follow the prompts in your browser. You can sign in with Google or with an email and password. When you return to the app, the button reflects your signed-in state, and you can sign out again from the same menu.
Accounts vs. your AI key
These are two separate things. Your JAW AI account identifies you; your AI provider API key is what powers the agent and is billed by Anthropic or OpenAI. You can use the agent without signing in, and you can sign in without having set up a key.
